A fashion stand-out for the past few winter seasons, this season’s must-have cocoon coat promises to make its mark again this year. Featuring ballooned waists and dropped shoulders, this attractively slouchy option stands out from the typical pea coat or trench and is, therefore, an excellent choice for anybody looking to make a statement.
I’m wearing Givenchy’s oversized cocoon winter coat which is a fabulous choice for fall/winter and certainly enough room for a chunky knit sweater. If you’re looking for 100 percent cashmere, Barney’s collab with Columbo in ivory is stunning. Five thousand is pretty steep when you can get a wool coat for thousands less. Here’s the good news….the Balmain cocoon is less! (ha ha…$3000) Balmain has to be one of my favorite designers but we all have our limits! The coats I’ve shared are priced all over the board. The best bang for your buck is Harris Wharf’s cocoon winter coats. See my favorite selections:
Harris Wharf Cocoon Winter Coat:
This distinctive cocoon coat from Harris Wharf is bound to attract attention. Made in Italy, its shell consists of 100 percent wool. The coats are easy to wear and can be thrown on with anything. I’m totally in love with the leopard print. This season you can’t go wrong with an army green cocoon coat especially worn with camo print leggings or jeans. Baby pink is always a standout piece. The magenta felted wool cocoon coat features concealed buttons and a slimming silhouette.
