We're so excited! We're away on vacation running around in Flip Flops and shorts...our favorite beachy outfit. Flaunt your legs this spring! The editors at Women’s Health Magazine help you pick the most flattering skirt style for your figure. If you are…

Curvy: If you can find a skirt with a double belt detail, it helps accentuate a small waist. An elastic waistband and an easy cargo fit won’t constrict a curvy figure. Finally, play up hourglass proportions with a tulip shaped skirt.

Straight: Skirts with horizontal stripes or tie-dye patterns tend to add oomph to straight silhouettes, creating a hipper look. Also, playful tiers lend volume to slim hips.

Pear: Skirts with fullness at the hem draw eyes away from the hips. Additionally, A-lines disguise the ample hips and thighs of a pear shaped figure.

Athletic: Femme up your figure with a skirt that has an over-sized bow or a busy print which adds dimensions. Also, a skirt with an A-line wrap style accommodates muscular thighs.

Sara Nesson Academy Award Nominee Beams in Dennis Basso

While lunching with Sara's Mom, A Few Goody Gumdrops got the scoop on Sara's lavishing gown which we absolutely adored! Only to find out... it was designed by one of our favorite designers!

Sara Nesson, Academy Award Nominee for Director of the Short Documentary "Poster Girl" looked amazing and ever-so glamorous on the Red Carpet wearing a Dennis Basso gown from his recent Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. Sara is standing on the Red Carpet with the subject of her documentary, Robynn Murray, wearing a dress designed for her by Kaya from Only Hearts. Sara was indulged with gorgeous earrings from LA jewelry designer, Susan Foster. They were to-die-for diamond slices surrounded by diamond pave. (see photo below) Sara looked gorgeous and so chic on her first Red Carpet appearance. Although, Poster Girl did not take home the Oscar it will air on HBO this coming Fall. Sara is curently in meetings to develop Poster Girl into a feature film. This was her first nominated film.

"Getting your film recognized at this level is huge. Poster Girl was in every sense of the word, a labor of love. No budget, no crew, no one guiding me how to do it. What I did have was an amazing subject, camera techniques I learned from my filmmaker father, a trusty DVX100B, some passion and a credit card. When my producer, Mitchell Block and later HBO came on board, it was like waiting for the butter to get soft enough so it could spread smoothly onto a piece of toast. Feminine Oxfords Continue To Be A Spring Staple!

Menswear-inspired styles adapted for the feminine fashion arena is certainly no new trick of the trade, but few recent takes on the trend seem to have the same shelf life as the girlie oxford flat. The style resurfaced a couple years ago as part of the influx of boyfriend-inspired everything (blazers, shorts, cardigans — you name it), and while the main concept stays rather consistent, these girlie takes on the traditional men's shoe are always getting seasonal updates to keep the look fresh! This spring is no exception, and I have to say I’m loving the new spins the oxford is getting treated with this season!
