Summer Style Essentials: Circle Skirts
Circle skirt, skater skirt, call them what you will but these flirty and feminine skirts have been on my radar all year long. I'm convinced that almost everybody would look good in a circle skirt. The fitted waistband defines and slims the waist while the a-line shape hides any lumps and bumps. So all that's left to be seen are your fabulously long legs!
One of my first picks is the Hinge Printed Skater Skirt (top left) with its abstract watercolor print and in a color scheme you can wear all year round. Best of all, it's on sale for $33.90. If you're feeling a little more daring, try the Opening Ceremony Leather Circle Mini Skirt (bottom middle). The pleated leather mini skirt is just edgy enough to make a statement, but the white leather keeps the look sweet.
You don't have to wear circle skirts just in the summer. In the fall, you can add a sheer pair of tights with clog sandals. In the winter, I've paired my circle skirts with leggings or tights with tall boots. Talk about getting the most out of your money!
