My mother has the most thick, lovely, bouncy curls. They're loose and perfectly waved, and the shorter the get the more pronounced they become.
I wasn't blessed with her great hair fortune--instead, I have mostly straight hair, with the exception of this one patch near the back that just crinkles & waves out.

I have the most unruly, warped hair around. The top is totally flat but the back and sides have a horrid wave to them. After years of getting a top-perm I've decided to stop fighting the battle and just go totally straight (saves me perm money). Now I try to straighten the sides and back but my current flat iron is a cheapy, it never really does the job. My stylist said get a better flat iron, why not the best? Approximately 11 months ago, a dear family friend, (who is like a mother to us), was recently laid off after working over 25 years in the insurance industry. Due to the current economic situation, she has been unable to find a job and lost the apartment she was residing in. A former co-worker has given her place to stay, but she has to sleep on the living room couch. Prior to losing her apartment, she gave her bed to an elderly couple that lived next door because she felt they “needed it more” than she did. This is just one of the innumerable acts of kindness she is known for.

I would love one of these for myself!!! My second child was born nine months ago and I'm slowly trying to get my body back to where I want it! :) Pretty much is mostly caught up but my hair. I received a really wonderful flat iron a while ago, but I often feel that my mother should have gotten it instead of me. My hair has a lot more wave to it, but hers does need general ironing to keep its cute framing look. She has a very cheap and tacky flat iron, but after using it myself a few times I have to say its awful! I'd like to see her not struggle so much with a task that could be easy and quick. She is a beautiful woman and I'd love to pamper her in thanks for all she's done for me and continues to do for me.
